Completed Projects

Basin 7 Open Cut

The City installed 2,540 linear feet of new sewer mains via open cut replacement, as well as 19 new manholes. Crews also made 56 point repairs.

Partial Basin Sewer 

This project will be complete in May. To date, the City has performed pipe bursting on 2.5 miles of 6-inch clay sewer and installed approximately 12 miles of new pipe liner.

Upcoming Projects

North Pleasantburg Sewer Realignment

The City has requested sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide construction services for installation of sanitary sewer, pipe bursting and associated work to reroute a sanitary sewer line.

Located near 227 North Pleasantburg Drive, the project is expected to begin in the summer and take approximately 180 days to complete. The scope of the project includes the installation of approximately 983 linear feet of 10-inch sewer, including 11 new manholes, and the replacement of 495 linear feet of 8-inch sewer main. 

Woodside Mill Village Sewer Relocation

The City has requested sealed bids from qualified contractors to install a new sewer system along A Street, B Street and Spring Street. 

The project is expected to begin in the summer and take approximately 180 days to complete. The scope of the project includes the installation of approximately 1,350 linear feet of 8-inch sewer main, installation of 8 new manholes, installation of 36 lateral re-connections and abandonment of various infrastructure. 

Rhett Street Sewer/Stormwater Relocation

The City has hired engineering consultant Thomas & Hutton to provide survey, design, permitting, bidding and construction services associated with the upsizing of existing sewer mains along Rhett Street. Thomas & Hutton will also provide a stormwater study and design services. 

The project area includes the Rhett Street corridor between Markley Street and River Street, including the intersections. The project scope includes upsizing approximately 1,700 linear feet of existing sewer main to 12-inch.
